First Light with EQ8-R / Triangulum Galaxie M33

Here comes my first light with my new EQ8-R.
After a friend had helped me to start guiding with Phd2 via Team Viewer, (there was a tick indicating that Phd2
was trying to calibrate itself with the
mount) I quickly decided to take another picture. My old unmodified Canon 500d was attached to the Epsi. So you can simply set everything better with the Liveview. Unmodified camera, ok, what can you record with it? Gas mist fell out. A galaxy always goes. Fortunately, the time is right for the M31 and M33. The choice is much on M33.
The guiding was stable so it was just time to have a fire. From 4 a.m. clouds came and the first test session was over. Still, a good 4 hours came together.
Even without a Ha share, I like it pretty much.

Hier kommt mein First Light mit meiner neuen EQ8-R.
Nach dem ein Freund via Team Viewer mir geholfen hatte das guiding mit Phd2 zu starten, (irgendein Häckchen war an, was Phd2 darin hinterte, sich mit der Montierung zu kalibrieren) entschloss ich mich kurzer Hand einfach mal wieder ein Bild aufzunehmen. Am Epsi war noch meine Alte unmodifizierte Canon 500d dran. Damit kann man einfach besser alles mit dem Liveview einstellen. Unmodifizierte Kamera, ok, was kann man damit aufnehmen? Gasnebel fielen raus. Eine Galaxie geht immer. Zum Glück ist gerade die Zeit günstig für M31 und M33. Die Wahl viel auf M33.
Das Guiding lief stabil also hieß es einfach mal, Feuer frei. Ab 4Uhr kamen Wolken und die erste Test session war zu Ende. Trotzdem, gute 4std sind zusammen gekommen.
Auch ohne Ha Anteile gefällt sie mir ziemlich gut.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
